Women’s Heart Health Expansion Act of 2026

This bill renews funding through 2031 for a government program called WISEWOMAN, run by the CDC, which provides heart health services like screenings and referrals for women. Currently, only three states can receive money from this program, and participants must also be part of a separate CDC breast and cervical cancer screening program. The bill removes the three-state limit, allows doctors and women to participate even if they are not part of that cancer screening program, and opens it up to high-risk women who weren't previously eligible. It also requires a government watchdog agency to report to Congress on how the program is working.
