DISCLOSE Act of 2026

This bill makes changes to campaign finance rules. It expands the ban on foreign money in U.S. elections to cover online ads, communications about federal judicial nominations, and ballot measure campaigns. It also makes it a crime, punishable by fines or up to five years in prison, to set up a company to hide election contributions from foreign nationals. Organizations like corporations, labor groups, and political groups would have to quickly report campaign spending over $10,000 to the Federal Election Commission and would need to reveal their top donors when running political ads.
