Focus on Learning Act

This bill does two main things related to cell phones and other mobile devices in schools. First, it requires the Surgeon General's office to study how the use of mobile devices in elementary and secondary schools affects students' learning, academic performance, and mental health, and then report on the findings. Second, it requires the Department of Education to set up a program that gives grants to local school districts so their schools can buy secure containers and install lockers to store mobile devices, helping create a school environment without them.
