Grocery, Farm, and Food Worker Protection Act of 2026

This bill would have the Agricultural Marketing Service, which is part of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, create a grant program to give financial payments to farmworkers, meat processing workers, and grocery workers when a natural disaster or other disaster happens. The money would be sent through membership organizations or labor unions that represent these workers, rather than directly to the workers themselves.
