Gambling Addiction Recovery, Investment, and Treatment Act

This bill requires a federal health agency to give grants to states to help people dealing with gambling addiction, and it allows another federal agency to fund research on gambling addiction. The money for these grants would come from a portion of the federal tax collected on legal bets, like sports betting, and the funding would be available through 2034. The grants to states would be divided using the same formula already used for an existing program that helps with substance use prevention and treatment. The bill also requires a report to Congress on how well these new programs are working.
