Protect Our Letter Carriers Act of 2025

This bill focuses on protecting mail carriers and improving postal security. It requires the Department of Justice to assign a lawyer in each court district to handle crimes against postal workers, such as assault, robbery, or tampering with mail. It also changes sentencing rules so that attacking or robbing a mail carrier would be punished the same way as attacking a law enforcement officer. Finally, it provides funding for the Postal Service to install more secure mailboxes and replace old mailbox keys with electronic versions.
