Alternatives to PAIN Act

This bill makes it easier and cheaper for people on Medicare to get pain medications that are not opioids. It requires these non-opioid pain drugs to be covered without a deductible and at the lowest possible cost-sharing level. The bill also prevents Medicare drug plans from requiring patients to get prior approval or try other medications first before they can get these non-opioid pain drugs covered.
