CAREER Act of 2025

This bill renews and expands programs that help people recovering from substance use disorders find jobs and live on their own. It continues funding through 2030 for a grant program that provides job training and recovery support services, and it allows some of that money to be used for transportation. It also renews a housing program run by the Department of Housing and Urban Development that gives people in recovery a stable, temporary place to live for up to two years. Programs that receive these grants would be required to report on how participants are doing in terms of employment and earnings.
