Promoting Precision Agriculture Act of 2025

This bill requires the Department of Agriculture to create voluntary standards for precision agriculture, which is a way of farming that uses detailed tracking and management of things like seeds, water, fertilizer, and time to reduce waste and protect the environment. The standards would be developed with help from technology and communications agencies, as well as private companies and other organizations, and would focus on things like connectivity for farm equipment, cybersecurity, and the use of artificial intelligence. The standards are voluntary and meant to make it easier and more affordable for farmers to use these advanced techniques. The Government Accountability Office would be required to regularly check on the standards and report back to Congress.
