Agent Raul Gonzalez Officer Safety Act

This bill creates new federal crimes for driving a vehicle to flee from a U.S. Border Patrol agent or other law enforcement officers working with Border Patrol, as long as it happens within 100 miles of the U.S. border. If someone is caught and the chase leads to death or serious injury, the bill requires a minimum prison sentence. It also says that non-U.S. citizens who are convicted of or admit to this crime can be denied entry into the country, deported, and blocked from receiving immigration protections like asylum.
