Protecting Access for Hunters and Anglers Act of 2025

This bill would stop three federal agencies — the Fish and Wildlife Service, the Bureau of Land Management, and the Forest Service — from banning or creating rules about using lead ammunition or fishing tackle on federal land or water. There are exceptions for rules that already exist and for situations where one of these agencies finds, using data from a specific area, that lead ammunition or tackle is the main reason a wildlife population is shrinking in that area, and the state also approves the new rules.
