Department of Energy Quantum Leadership Act of 2025

This bill updates and extends Department of Energy programs focused on quantum research and technology through 2030. It requires the Department of Energy to start new programs in high-performance quantum computing research, study supply chain needs for quantum technology, and create a training program at universities to build up the quantum workforce. The bill also calls for research into quantum networking and new types of detectors used in quantum technology. Additionally, it sets up a program to build specialized equipment, lab infrastructure, and "quantum foundries" — facilities that work with companies and universities to produce the devices, hardware, software, and materials needed for quantum science and the quantum supply chain.
