A bill to amend the Act of June 22, 1948.

This bill makes sure that yearly payments to three counties in Minnesota — Cook, Lake, and Saint Louis — for national forest lands in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness do not go down. It changes the way the Department of the Treasury calculates these payments so that they are based on the highest appraised land value ever recorded, including past values, instead of just the current appraised value of the land.
