A bill to amend title 38, United States Code, to establish an external provider scheduling program to assist the Department of Veterans Affairs in scheduling appointments for care and services under the Veterans Community Care Program, and for other purposes.

This bill creates a new program within the Department of Veterans Affairs that would help VA staff schedule appointments faster for veterans who receive care from outside doctors and providers. The program would use technology that lets VA schedulers see outside providers' available appointment times in real time. The VA would be required to make sure this system speeds up the time it takes to go from a referral to a scheduled appointment, and it must be available at all VA medical centers by September 30, 2025.
