SAFE STEPS for Veterans Act of 2025

This bill requires the Department of Veterans Affairs to create an Office of Falls Prevention to help reduce falls among veterans by improving health care services, running a national education campaign for veterans and their families, and raising awareness about available VA benefits related to fall prevention. It also adds the VA to a government committee focused on healthy aging, requires updated safety policies for VA facilities, and directs the VA to look into a program that would make home improvements to help prevent falls for eligible veterans. The bill also makes sure certain veterans get a falls risk assessment from a licensed physical therapist or occupational therapist.
