Transportation Freedom Act

This bill cuts taxes for companies that make cars and car parts in the United States by letting them deduct double the amount of certain worker wages they pay. It cancels recent government rules from the EPA and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that were meant to limit pollution from cars, trucks, vans, school buses, and big rigs. The bill also takes away California's special ability to set its own stricter car emission rules and stops other states from following California's standards. Finally, it requires the government to create new fuel efficiency and pollution standards that are practical and affordable, but those new standards cannot force companies to make or sell electric vehicles.
