Sickle Cell Disease Comprehensive Care Act

This bill lets state Medicaid programs set up special health centers, called health homes, to organize and manage care for people with sickle-cell disease. Right now, Medicaid already allows these kinds of health homes for certain other long-term health conditions. States would have to make sure that dental and vision care are included in the services provided. The bill also requires a federal agency to share guidelines with states on how to best set up and run these health homes.
