CROWN Act of 2025

This bill would make it illegal to discriminate against someone because of their hair texture or hairstyle when that hair texture or style is commonly linked to a particular race or national origin. The protection would apply in areas like jobs, housing, public places, and programs that receive federal funding. The bill would be enforced using the same procedures already in place under existing civil rights laws.
