Farm and Food Cybersecurity Act of 2025

This bill requires the Department of Agriculture to study cybersecurity threats to the country's food and farming systems, including everything from growing and processing food to storing and transporting it. Every two years, USDA must work with the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency to assess cyber risks and suggest ways to address them. The bill also requires USDA to run a yearly practice exercise, in coordination with other federal agencies, that simulates a realistic food-related emergency or disruption affecting multiple areas and industries. After each exercise, USDA must send Congress a report with recommendations for improving cybersecurity and preparedness in the food and agriculture sector.
