Billion Dollar Boondoggle Act of 2025

This law requires federal agencies to report information to the Office of Management and Budget about government-funded projects that are more than five years behind schedule or have gone at least $1 billion over their original cost estimate. Agencies must explain why the project is delayed or over budget, describe any changes to the project, and report any bonuses paid out in connection with the project. The Office of Management and Budget must then put together a yearly report with all of this information, send it to Congress, and post it on its website.
