UNITED Act

This bill gives the President the power to start trade talks with the United Kingdom and work toward a trade deal that covers a wide range of industries, products, and services. The President would be allowed to reach a final trade agreement with the UK before March 1, 2029, and could change or keep certain taxes on imported goods as part of that deal. The bill also requires the President to talk with Congress and let them know before moving forward with any agreement or changes to trade rules.
