Strategic Ports Reporting Act

This bill requires the Department of State to study and report to Congress about strategic ports around the world. The report must include lists of strategic ports owned or controlled by China and by the United States, an assessment of how those ports affect national security and the economy, and an analysis of China's efforts to gain control of strategic ports. The bill also requires the State Department to create a global map of ports that are important to the United States for military, diplomatic, economic, or resource-related reasons.
