Disaster Assistance Simplification Act

This bill requires FEMA to create a single, simplified system where people affected by disasters can apply for all types of disaster assistance in one place, instead of having to fill out separate applications with different agencies. The system would let people check the status of their applications, update their information as their recovery continues, and learn about other available resources. The system must also include protections for people's privacy and help prevent fraud and discrimination in disaster aid programs. FEMA would be required to keep the system updated and report to Congress on how it is being put into place.
