Accelerating Broadband Permits Act

This bill makes changes to speed up the process for getting federal permits related to building or upgrading broadband and communications infrastructure. It requires federal agencies to track how long they take to process applications for things like easements and rights-of-way on federal property, figure out what's causing delays, and set up alerts when they might miss the existing 270-day deadline to act on applications. The bill also lowers the cost threshold for broadband projects to qualify for a faster federal environmental review process, dropping it from $200 million down to $5 million.
