Choice in Affordable Housing Act of 2025

This bill creates new programs to encourage more landlords to accept Section 8 housing vouchers by offering them things like one-time payments, help with security deposits, and other incentives. It also gives bonuses to local housing agencies that hire staff specifically to work with landlords. The bill renews a housing support program for Native American veterans through 2029 and makes it easier for rental units to pass required inspections by allowing inspections done through other housing programs to count. It also requires the Department of Housing and Urban Development to expand how it calculates fair market rent for the voucher program.
