La Paz County Solar Energy and Job Creation Act

This bill requires the Department of the Interior to transfer about 3,400 acres of federal land in La Paz County, Arizona, to the county if the county requests it and pays fair market value. Any land with important cultural, environmental, wildlife, or recreational resources must be left out of the transfer. Whoever owns the land must work to protect tribal artifacts, coordinate with the Colorado River Indian Tribes to identify historically significant items, and allow tribal representatives to rebury any artifacts that are uncovered. The land is also off-limits for mining and mineral leasing.
