Protect Our Military Families’ 2nd Amendment Rights Act

This bill changes federal gun laws to allow licensed gun dealers, importers, or manufacturers to sell or ship firearms and ammunition to the spouses of military members who are on active duty outside the country. Right now, the law only allows this for the service members themselves, not their spouses. The bill also says that active-duty military members and their spouses can be considered residents of the state where they have legal residence, where their permanent duty station is, or where they live and commute to the duty station from — which matters because gun laws often depend on what state you live in.
