Fairness in Veterans' Education Act of 2025

This bill changes how the Department of Veterans Affairs pays back service members and veterans who spent money to keep their Montgomery GI Bill benefits but later switched to using Post-9/11 GI Bill benefits instead. Right now, the VA can only give that money back with the person's last monthly housing payment, which means some people miss out on getting repaid. Under this bill, the VA would be required to pay people back before they use up all of their education benefits, making it easier for more veterans to get their money returned.
