A joint resolution providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Bureau of Land Management relating to "Coastal Plain Oil and Gas Leasing Program Record of Decision".

This resolution cancels a rule from the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) that was issued in December 2024 about oil and gas drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska. The canceled rule had changed an earlier 2020 decision that opened up about 1.6 million acres for oil and gas leasing by instead blocking off about 1.2 million of those acres to protect natural resources, while still keeping 400,000 acres available for leasing as required by law. By nullifying this 2024 rule, the resolution would undo those new restrictions on oil and gas leasing in the area.
