Directing the President, pursuant to section 5(c) of the War Powers Resolution, to remove United States Armed Forces from hostilities with Iran.

This resolution tells the President to pull U.S. military forces out of any fighting against Iran unless Congress has officially declared war or passed a specific approval to use military force against Iran. There is an exception if troops are needed to defend the United States, an ally, or a partner from an attack that is about to happen, but in that case the President must follow certain rules under an existing law called the War Powers Resolution. That law generally says the President must remove troops from fighting within 60 days unless Congress gives its approval.
