PROTECT Act

This bill requires the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to create a plan and take action to prevent and reduce the use of e-cigarettes and newer tobacco products among young people and young adults. The CDC would need to research how these products are being used and their health effects, figure out the best ways to help young people stop using them, and run a national public education campaign about these products. The bill also calls for continued funding of grants to health departments for tobacco control programs focused on young people.
