Memory Chip Competitiveness Assessment Act of 2026

This bill tells the Department of Commerce to study and write a report about the market for advanced memory chips, which are high-tech parts used in powerful and energy-efficient computers. The study has to look at the supply chain for these chips, how market trends affect prices for products that use them, and ways to increase the supply without getting chips from North Korea, China, Russia, or Iran. Before finishing the report, Commerce must give the public a chance to share their opinions on it.
