If a republican is proposing it, it can't be helpful to the working class
We live in a free market society and if the FTC and Antitrust division of the DOJ were doing their job they would have never allowed these companies to merge. Competition is what lowers prices and there currently isn't any in the healthcare industry.
There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of information about this particular bill. If this bill plans to deal with rising healthcare costs as a result of mergers that have led to monopolies then I'm all for it. They own every part of the business from the insurance company to the pharmacy, the doctor and hospitals and even the PBM's (Pharmacy Benefits Managers).
I do not trust that it would be helpful to the average person.
It seems to be all about looking into what happens when these Corpoations called the medical field & insurance companies merge, like they should have never been able to do, they are trying to see how that affects people. Nothing really said about what will be done with that information. Sounds like busy work, but if their is a chance that they may finally say "Hey, look at that it is corrupt." & actually do something about it, then have at it. They will either waste our money on this or on funding our own enemies who want us dead.
