Stop China’s Exploitation of Congolese Children and Adult Forced Labor through Cobalt Mining Act

This bill requires a government task force to investigate whether forced labor, including child labor, is being used in cobalt mining in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The task force must report its findings to Congress, suggest ways to stop cobalt mined with forced labor from being brought into the United States, and update Congress every six months. These requirements would end either eight years after the bill becomes law or when the President tells Congress that forced labor in the Congo's mining industry has stopped, whichever comes first.
