Veterans Nutrition and Wellness Act of 2025

This bill requires the Department of Veterans Affairs to create a three-year pilot program called "Food is Medicine" that provides special meals, groceries, nutrition education, and cooking classes to certain veterans. The program is for veterans enrolled in VA health care who have multiple chronic health conditions or who are pregnant and at risk for preeclampsia or gestational diabetes. The VA must also train its health care providers on how to include this program in veterans' treatment plans and work with community organizations to get locally sourced produce and expand access to the special meals and groceries.
