Commercial Remote Sensing Amendment Act of 2025

This bill changes rules for companies that want to operate satellites that take pictures of Earth from space. It shortens the time the government has to review applications for these satellite licenses from 120 days to 60 days. The bill also requires the government to create annual reports that list all applications, explain how they are categorized into different groups, and describe any special conditions placed on the companies. These reports had stopped in 2020, but this bill would bring them back until 2030.
