Protecting Mushroom Farmers Act

This bill requires the federal crop insurance program to research and develop insurance policies for mushroom farmers. The research must look at how effective mushroom insurance would be, including coverage for specific pests and diseases that affect mushrooms. The bill also requires studying whether mushrooms should be covered under one policy or if different parts of mushroom growing should have separate coverage. If the research creates an insurance policy that meets federal requirements, it must be made available to mushroom farmers.
