Billion Dollar Boondoggle Act of 2025

This bill requires the Office of Management and Budget to collect information from federal agencies about projects that are running late or costing much more than originally planned. Federal agencies must report on projects that are more than five years behind schedule or have gone at least $1 billion over their original cost estimate. The agencies must explain what went wrong, provide original and current timelines and costs, and describe any bonuses paid for these projects. The Office of Management and Budget must then create an annual report for Congress with this information and post it online.
