Awning Safety Act of 2025

This bill requires the Consumer Product Safety Commission to create safety rules for retractable awnings that are fixed in place or stand freely. The rules must protect people from death or serious injury from these awnings, including when an awning unexpectedly opens and hits someone who is removing the bungee tie-downs from the awning cover.
