Yosemite National Park Equal Access and Fairness Act

This bill changes the rules for San Francisco's use of land in Yosemite National Park where the city built a dam and created a reservoir. The bill raises the rent San Francisco pays from $30,000 to $2 million per year, with yearly increases based on inflation. San Francisco cannot pass these costs to its water and power customers. The money collected can be used by the Department of the Interior for wildfire prevention in Yosemite and other California national parks. The bill also requires the National Park Service to make the reservoir area available for public recreation while protecting important natural and historic features.
