Promptly Ending Political Prosecutions and Executive Retaliation Act of 2025

This bill changes the rules about when state court cases against federal officials can be moved to federal court. Right now, current federal officers can move state cases against them to federal court if the charges are related to their official duties, but this bill would also let former federal officers and current or former Presidents and Vice Presidents do the same thing. The bill also says that in these cases, federal officials are automatically assumed to be immune from the charges unless it can be shown that their actions were not part of their official duties.
