Promoting Precision Agriculture Act

This bill requires the Department of Agriculture to create voluntary standards for precision agriculture, which means managing farming inputs like seeds, fertilizer, and water more precisely to improve efficiency and reduce waste. The Department of Agriculture must work with other agencies and private companies to develop guidelines that help precision agriculture equipment work together better. The standards must consider equipment connectivity needs, cybersecurity issues, and artificial intelligence impacts. The Government Accountability Office will regularly review these standards and report to Congress about them.
