Securing American Agriculture Act

This bill requires the Department of Agriculture to check each year how much the United States depends on China for important farming products and supplies like equipment, fertilizers, veterinary drugs, and seeds. The Department must write a report to Congress about this dependency and suggest ways to reduce it. The bill says the Department cannot force private companies to give them information, and any information collected must be kept confidential.
