Helping Heroes Act

This bill requires the Department of Veterans Affairs to create a new program called the Veteran Family Resource Program. The program will help veterans and their families access services and resources to support family wellness and address health-related challenges. The VA must hire at least one family coordinator in each regional VA area to serve as a contact person for veterans, families, and caregivers to help them find VA and community resources. The VA must also survey disabled veterans and their families at least once every five years to better understand what they need.
