Transportation Equity Act

This bill requires the Department of Transportation to create an advisory committee called the Transportation Equity Committee. The committee would give advice and recommendations to the Department of Transportation about transportation equity issues. The committee would also review how well the Department of Transportation connects people to jobs and opportunities through its various programs and policies. The Department of Transportation must hire a full-time employee to coordinate the committee's work.
