Preserving Patient Access to Home Infusion Act

This bill changes Medicare rules for home infusion therapy, which is when patients receive medications through an IV at home. The bill makes sure that pharmacy services and home infusion drugs given without a pump are covered by Medicare. It also allows nurses and physician assistants to create and review treatment plans for this therapy. Medicare can pay for these services even when a doctor or other practitioner is not physically present in the patient's home when the medication is given.
