Innovative FEED Act of 2025

This bill creates rules for regulating certain substances added to animal food or water. These substances, called "zootechnical animal food substances," are designed to affect an animal's digestive system, reduce harmful bacteria in food, or change the good and bad bacteria in an animal's gut. The bill does not cover substances used to treat or prevent animal diseases, hormones, or active drug ingredients. Labels for these substances must include a warning that they cannot be used to treat or prevent diseases in animals.
