Medicare and Medicaid Fraud Prevention Act

This bill requires state Medicaid programs to check if healthcare providers are dead before enrolling them and when they renew their enrollment. States must use the Social Security Administration's Death Master File to do these checks. After providers are enrolled, states must continue checking this database at least every three months to make sure the providers are still alive.
