Northern Nevada Economic Development and Conservation Act of 2026

This bill deals with federal land in Nevada in several ways. It transfers ownership of certain federal lands from the Forest Service and the Bureau of Land Management to the state of Nevada, several counties and cities, and other local organizations for purposes like economic development, recreation, and other public uses. The bill also sets aside some federal land as protected wilderness, allows a former prison site to be used for other purposes, permits the creation of a federal office complex on certain land in Nevada, and places some land into trust for the Washoe Tribe of Nevada and California.
