Uzbekistan Normalized Trade Act

This bill would allow the President to give Uzbekistan permanent normal trade status with the United States. Currently, Uzbekistan gets temporary normal trade status each year under a 1974 law that requires certain countries to meet freedom-of-emigration requirements. The bill would let the President decide that these requirements don't apply to Uzbekistan anymore. The changes would only take effect after Uzbekistan joins the World Trade Organization.
